The story:

Someone kidnapped his girlfriend and he was tricked into coming to an old mill where he tried to save his girlfriend. He fell into a vat of Sodium hydroxide (NaOH), also known as lye and caustic soda which nearly cost him his life. His girlfriend performed CPR on him and became deathly ill just a day afterwards due to a reaction while giving him the "kiss of life." 911 was called and the paramedics arrived. Both were life flighted to a hospital where they both recovered.

He was revived by paramedics and went through weeks of intensive care skin graft treatments to repair the skin on his backside which would leave him scarred for life. In a weird twist of fate, he hasn't aged and still looks 17.

It is believed that he gave his girlfriend a disease that went into remission. A scientist wants to study her for the illness that she still incubates in her cells.

The accident gave Acidic "Unusual powers and abilities" include: Acidic content of his bodily fluits including but not limited to: Spit, Sweat, Oils of his skin, etc, and he can make someone deathly ill instantaneously just by breathing on them.

He feels responsible for nearly killing his girlfriend and due to his current condition, he keeps away from her permanently. He went on a rampage knocking off armored cars and safes using his abilities to burn holes through the metal. He perceives himself to be a "walking plague."

He alienates himself from his friends due to his unusual condition. His friends are trying to help him, the police are hunting him for a slough of unexplained robberies, and the government are looking for him to exploit his unusual abilities.

Virtually a good person, his powers tear him from within making it hard for him to live with a moral compass... should he use his powers for good or not?

He steals because he is trying to BUY his cure from the illness so he can one day be normal again. He leaves a calling card at each robbery promising to pay them back someday, the police look for the "IOU" robber and are always hot on his trail. Constantly trying to look out for his girlfriend and he feels he still has a friend in Austin, he tries to find answers through them but he can never stay long.

The government catches wind of his special abilities and tries to capture him as well.

Between his friends, the police and the feds, he's constantly on the move.
